SYO’s Youth Orchestral Camp will see the Symphonic Wind Orchestra (SWO) and the Western Sydney Youth Orchestra (WSYO) with new recruits from regional NSW join us for this concert in the beautiful Inverell Town Hall.
Prepare to be delighted as SWO, WSYO and their regional guest musicians harness the energy of a week at camp!
We have over 250 young musicians and 50 regional guest musicians from across NSW will be travelling to Armidale for the 5-day intensive Youth Orchestral Camp (YOC) these school holidays from 16-20 April. Regional musicians will have the opportunity to join one of SYO’s orchestras for the week, living, rehearsing, and performing alongside SYO musicians, conductors, and instrumental tutors. Under the guidance of some of the state’s finest conductors, tutors, and industry professionals, participants will hone their performance and ensemble skills whilst immersing themselves in the rich tapestry of orchestral music. YOC provides a unique platform to access high-level orchestral tuition, forge lifelong friendships and build musical partnerships with like-minded peers, in advance of community concerts in Inverell, Gunnedah and Armidale.
